THE RIGHT CLIMATE. EVERY ROOM.
Comfort throughout.
Clutter kept out.
A ducted heat pump brings heating and cooling to several rooms through discreet air outlets. With the main indoor unit concealed, your walls stay free for furniture, artwork and the way you want your home to look.
Coastal HVAC is based in Mount Maunganui and works across the Bay of Plenty. General manager Rob Brand brings 25 years of industry experience and oversees system design and installation, supported by our team of skilled technicians.
We start with your home: room sizes, insulation, ceiling space, how you use each area and what you want to spend. We then plan the capacity, duct routes, outlets, return air and controls together, so the recommendation makes sense for your household.

BEHIND THE COMFORT.
One system.
A considered design.
An outdoor heat pump connects to an indoor unit, usually in the ceiling space. Insulated ducts carry conditioned air to the selected rooms, while a return-air grille brings air back to the system. A controller lets you adjust the temperature and schedule.
Getting the airflow right matters as much as choosing the equipment. We plan outlet positions, return-air paths and service access before installation. For an existing home, we check whether the roof space and access can accommodate the proposed system.
LIVING AREAS. BEDROOMS. YOUR ROUTINE.
Make room for zoning.
Optional zoning can divide the home into areas, such as living rooms and bedrooms. Compatible controls and dampers help direct airflow where it is needed. The available temperature control depends on the system and controller selected.
01
Daytime living
Plan comfort around the spaces used during the day, rather than treating every room identically.
02
Night-time bedrooms
Discuss how you want sleeping areas to operate and what a suitable zoning arrangement can provide.
03
Simple, suitable controls
We explain scheduling, optional Wi-Fi and compatible zoning controls before you decide. These features vary by model.
THE EQUIPMENT. THE EXPERTISE.
Your home. The right ducted system.
Mitsubishi Electric ducted systems
Ceiling-concealed systems provide heating and cooling through discreet outlets. Selected combinations support optional ZoneIQ controls and Lossnay ventilation integration. We confirm the equipment and controls that suit your design.
Discuss your options
Daikin ducted systems
Daikin offers ducted options for different roof spaces, including slimline units. Compatible systems can use optional zoning and advanced controls. We help you compare a suitable model and controller for your home.

YOUR QUESTIONS. CLEAR ANSWERS.
A few things worth knowing.
Can ducted heating be installed in an existing home?
Often, but it depends on roof space, access and the home’s layout. We assess these before recommending a system. New builds and renovations offer more flexibility to plan duct routes and outlet positions.
Will every room have its own temperature setting?
That depends on the selected zoning system. Some arrangements group rooms into zones; more advanced compatible controls offer additional control. We explain exactly what your proposed design can do.
Does a ducted heat pump bring in fresh air?
Heating and cooling generally recirculates indoor air. Fresh-air ventilation is a separate function. If you want both, we can assess a compatible ventilation solution alongside the ducted design.
How much does a ducted system cost?
Price depends on capacity, the number of outlets and zones, access, controls and installation work. Contact us for a quote based on your home rather than a one-size-fits-all allowance.
